Amalfi Coast shopping is different from shopping in any other place in the world thanks to its diverse range of local artisan goods. One of my favorite things to do when on a trip to the Amalfi Coast is explore the local shops discovering the unique products and fascinating stories that local shopkeepers have to tell.

From wandering Corso Italia to the Historic Center of Amalfi there is so much to see and so many shops to explore. You will find amazing goods like traditional textile products, handmade luxury sandals, and beautiful jewelry.

Picture yourself on the cobblestone streets of Ravello, the view of the sea and the smell of fresh limoncello as you pop in and out of different shops meeting locals and discovering what they have to offer. The Best Shopping Streets on the Amalfi Coast

Via dei Mulini – Positano

Adorned with vibrant flowers cascading down the charming boutiques and buildings, Via dei Mulini is one of the best places for Amalfi Coast shopping. Positano is known worldwide for their exquisite fashion and you can find a variety of shops selling elegant dresses, linen clothing, and handmade sandals here. The quaint street is also lined with shops selling local artisan goods from handcrafted jewelry to local artwork to handwoven baskets. Make sure to keep an eye out for the weekly market where vendors gather and sell fresh produce, clothing, accessories, and so much more in a vibrant and buzzing atmosphere.

Corso Italia – Sorrento

Corso Italia is Sorrento’s main shopping street and a bustling hub for locals and tourists. Dotted along the streets you can find boutiques and shops selling fashionable clothing, unique souvenirs, and artisanal crafts. Sorrento is famous for its lemons so you will find an abundance of shops selling limoncello, along with other local products like olive oil, wine, and fresh pasta. At the end of Corso Italia, you will find Piazza Tasso, Sorrento’s main square. This is a lively area surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and shops. During the high Summer season, Corso Italia comes alive during the evenings with lights, decorations, and shops staying open late.

Via San Cesareo – Sorrento

The narrow, pedestrian-only street of Via San Cesareo is a lively spot for shopping during your time in Sorrento. When exploring this street make sure you keep your eyes peeled for a sweet treat, there are many shops selling gelato, pastries, and other traditional Italian sweets so you can indulge in local flavors. Also connected to Piazza Tasso, you can easily explore Corso Italia at the same time as Via San Cesareo.

Via dei Rufolo has a very special historic ambiance to it. With its cobblestone streets and medieval architecture, the gorgeous street is dotted with local shops selling artisan goods, fashionable clothes, and delicious treats. Throughout  Via dei Rufolo you will be treated to beautiful views of the Amalfi Coast’s landscape and the sparkling sea making this one of the most popular streets for Amalfi Coast shopping.
